Yes, people are not buying standalone PCs like they used to but the autos they buy have several equivalent PCs inside plus they pay up to connect to their powerful smartphones...

I saw this trend back in the 1980s when I was designing semiconductors and one of our products, a plastic optical fiber link, was tried in cars to move data around without interference.... they didn't work too well if the car caught on fire....
