Tsk tsk. All in the name of religion. Well M did say conversion by the sword if necessary.

Tsk tsk. Serves 'em right for not understanding the one true path in justifying God's ways to man.

We must not give vent to cultural unilateralism here. Perhaps if we saw their imperatives better we would get a relativistic understanding of the finality of their judgement of the infidel. Of course on the other side of the coin, if relativism is understood the infidel is just as justified in resisting genoicide by turning the tables. Perhaps cultural relativism is a luxury that is best left to theory when the barabrians are at the gate. Or, again, seeing Genghis' point of view begins to take on more importance as the time runs out where debate has any value.

Personally I think if quick understanding of God is necessary about a dozen beer is as good as any conversion. Generally men see the deity quite clearly when in that state, and their language, so clearly invocative of deities and sub-deities, shows it.

It's a pity the Muslims didn't understand this. While they are a little bit the worse for wear, the conversion rate of the Sally Ann is impressive.
