That's exactly right John (mutual admiration society continuation). We come down to a subjective assessment. Mine is that the management are trying hard to make sure that the shareprice has an opportunity to start reflecting the value of the company. At the moment, I agree, that value is relatively invisible. I regard it as a message from management when they say on Oct 20th, "strong core fundamentals". After all they know. Either its because they are trying to maintain a crashing airplane in the air for a few moments longer OR, and it has to be considered, they are trying to show what they know, that there are real reasons for being excited by this technology and for the oncoming series of deals by interested institutions who can use this to improve thier market position. There is no doubt also that it would have been pretty easy for them to have made more public announcements but they are as sensitive to 'material' releases as we are. They choose, given limited resources in this area, to concentrate on getting the job done. They are not alone when they release information. They have to cope with the strategic issues, the partners in any deals, Salomon's advice, and not least of all the shareholders (stock controlled by company). Nothing can emerge without the say-so of all concerned. This results in a meagre flow. Fonix management are criticised for not getting the numbers out, but if others are telling them not to and the operations are progressing, then this is a 'need to know' situation only. (c'ept of course where they are legally required to release information). Having been there, followed it for two and a half years, and talked at length with many of the operators, I feel that the "scam" argument can check out fast. I'm not saying I'm 100% right, just that if I honestly examine my feelings given what and who I know, that anything the naysayers see as bad is often something normal in the life of a company at this stage. This is a butterfly about to come out of pupation. Hell, now I even sound biassed to myself. go for it. Parx
