First of all, the Cold War has NOT ended. Have you seen what has gone on in Ukraine? What EXACTLY did Reagan DO to end the Cold War anyway? Could it have been done WITHOUT Gorbachev being in charge in Russia? In that book it apparently said that a "weapons race would essentially break them". Let's look at that from the U.S. perspective. What if the Chinese were to spend 2 Trillion a year on defense? Would the United States just Give Up then? That's what you're saying happened to the Russians. Wouldn't the same thing happen to the U.S.?
