Hossein, I had the same thoughts looking back on DEC but still think it would have been a good hold if not for the SEA meltdown. I mentioned before I usually trade stock, pretty much in line with your 20% target, but DEC was my one "investment" I wouldn't sell due to its greatly improved forward fundamentals. This was obviously the big mistake - I fell in love with the stock, the market is not rational. Previous to your post, I've already written a note on my computer saying "thou shall trade, thou shalt not invest". As for DEC's recent action not even partaking in the recent rally (which certainly would be a sucker rally with SEA being real - if the market were rational ;-)), seems like everyone has more confidence in it going down before it goes up again. Oh well, we'll have another chance at it this year.

best to you,
Tom

Thanks for your reply and sharing of thoughts relative to 1998. Your 20% gain and then "get-out" plan would see you selling DEC at about 43-44, might be kind of low for later in the year...just an opinion, good luck and successful trading/investing in 98!!

p.s. nice move in DEC today, volume still lightish...
