Curious why would the politics impact apartment REITS other than probably a slightly less accomodative position by the fed after the election? ZIRP probably here for much longer than we think. Thinking overbuilding and larger credit loss and turnover costs that cause a repricing looking out say 2-3 years as more Millenials that are credit worthy move to home ownership instead to 'escape' high rents at the same time..

Best hope is a slow curbing of the excesses by a slow rising rate environment. Unfortunately the longer this financial engineering on steroids continues the worse the downturn on the other side. Interesting times the worst of 1990 and 2008 downturns probably in our future.. My crystal ball two cents worth...lol
