Pretty much. I admit, I was naive. I had thought that most people were more or less over overt racism. Sure, there were still some who were still mired in it, but there weren't many of those.

Boy, was I wrong. Even in people I never would have expected suddenly felt it was ok to give vent to some very vile racism now that we have a black president.

I am very chastised by that.
