Why would the offering "create" a good buying opportunity?? You
can buy the stock now on the open market, and unless the offering comes in at anything under the present stock price it will not create
a buying advantage. The other alternative is that if the offering
was , say, a private placement, then you could get free warrants.

On the contrary, the offering is dilutional for present shareholders.
