I don't invest in companies I don't understand. I also have proven myself very bad at retail, and Tesla is purportedly a retail company. I don't understand why people buy things. In general, I'd say your idea has merit, with the caveat that big money knows the details and whatnot, and is pricing it where it is. Until I thought I had a good idea of why that was I'd not.

Also wanted to add a kudos to Jim P for bailing quickly on what he decided was a bad idea. Who knows, maybe the stock now takes off, I've had that one before. Regardless, it's difficult to cut losses, I wish I was better at it.
