"What's IBM's asian exposure? -Jay <eom>"

I do not know.
Lets think outloud for a second.
IBM is a huge company that does business just about every where.
Currency has been hurting them a lot.
AP currencies have been the weakest.
Big companies like IBM.

I, on a guess would say that it is greater than 10 %. This is only a guess, Ask Meathead, he seems to know every thing about the computer business.

IBM also has 6 divisions, some may be more exposed than others. If the service division has a lot of exposure, that could be deadly.

Jay,

The server hardware makers like HWP, IBM and others have a significant exposure in Asia-Pacific and Japan.

Auspex =12% ...DataGeneral =6% ...Digital Equipment =18%
EMC Corp. =9% ...Hewlett=Packard 16% ...IBM =20% ...Lexmark =11%
NCR =20% ...Silicon Graphics =23% ...Sequent =12% ...Stratus =36%
Sun Microsystems =16% ...Unisys =19%

Some may choose to discount this economic reality; however the fact is that Southeast Asian economies have been the engine for high growth for many of this group's members.
