"...otherwise known as the nyncompoop." lol -g- ... I think their stock symbol is NUKEM

Here's one with many links off antenna.nl If you put "uranium" into Altavista you can pull up a lot of sites, even when you narrow it with another word like "+market". I follow two U stocks, CCO and DEN, so am aware of the POU as well. Imho there are some similarities between the POU and the POG;

1. Both commodities have current demand far in excess of current supply, while current demand trends are increasing far in excess of current supply trends.
2. Both have large stockpiles overhanging the market, CB stocks in the case of Au, and ex-military stocks in the case of U.
3. Both have markets that are tightly controlled, where politics plays perhaps a bigger part (for now) than the "unseen hand" of a free and efficient market (plenty of room for debate on this point, eh).
4. Both have market prices threatened in recent years by sales from central stockpiles, although large market-killing lots don't seem to be being dumped. The threat of such dumping seems to be enough to keep the price down.
5. The strong and efficient producers of both will do very well in the not-too-distant future, but one shouldn't hold one's breath, nor buy them on margin.

....much of this is true for most commodities, but more so for these two, imho.

As for the various conspiracy theories, I have a hard time working up much credibility for them, it's hard to imagine people acting much more concertedly and organized than myself and those around me, which is to say, not very. I guess I think that in any conspiracy somebody will eventually get greedy and be the first to sell, or to buy, breaking the cabal and bringing the whole story to light. The market will have its way in the end, Supply and Demand will rule.

Did you get the funny feeling that those bunny people here earlier, and their 12-foot chicken friend, think they're normal? If we could only see ourselves as others see us, eh

........... cheers .................. marcos
