I don't know why you have such a problem.

Neither do I and neither do any of the many people I have talked to who also have quality problems with IOM products. We have had many disks go bad (IOM and Fujitsu brands) and we often have trouble when porting disks from one drive to another. All I can say is that I don't know a single person who is happy with the quality of the product but I'm not offering any explanations or interpretations. Their install brought down our server; we can't read or write certain disks; we can't access one of the zip drives over the network; under some unknown circumstances, we copy to the disks but the existing files are not updated and you end up with old versions of files instead of the new ones. That's just our personal experience but it's backed up from horror stories from other companies we work with.
