A quick note--it's not really in the criteria but I'd rather see companies like SMOD than like ICIQ here. (Keep in mind I haven't looked into either.) Simply, they sound a bit more like a generic manufacturing/consulting company than a tech firm. I have had a few ideas about companies that aren't really tech companies and have tried to keep them off this thread. After all, the driving force in capitalism (besides capital) is technology, it is what leads to innovation, productivity, and bankruptcies...so everything is mixed up with tech somehow but I think we should prioritize those companies that are more purely 'high tech'. Though I do confess a fondness for anything involving 'soft' tech like IT or communications.
