don, would you please tell me just who, how and why the 'market' is manipulated? really, the market is a very, very, very big 'thing.'

who needs a strong january effect? i certainly do not and investors do not have such short horizons. even day traders can get slaughtered in any market assumed to have a specific bias. assumptions are ok for the purpose of argument but are useless in a real world decisionmaking environment.

no! i don't think so. too risky manipulating the market. anybody even dreaming of such a thing also wants the security of a sure thing. any attempt at manipulation is not much of a guarantee that others will accomadate your wishes. and, if you get caught hanging one out there it is all over!
