Perhaps I am missing something? A most attractive part of NCR to me is their POS and ATM business. That they make a good server and are a featured db-dw Co is a bonus. It would seem to me that these days you look at the hardware and manufacturing as a commodity business. It's buy versus build, and NCR is making those choices. The value would be as a system integrator, using off-the-shelf parts if possible. I'm not sure that Sun is in any position to put bullets into folks. Seems to me that they could use more friends right about now. I read the NCR deal as just such a rapproachment, not more of their AK-47 macho BS.

Willing to part with about 50 shares of NCR? I'll pour my heart out for you privately. Please read the news about NCR for the last 3 months or so. There are misunderstandings in your post about NCR and Sun.

I did not say NCR was a better investment than Sun or vice versa. I do have both and I'm accumulating both.
