That is some logic Jean, why is MSFT more than SYSF or INTC more than AMD? Answer= Quality.

Jean,

You said "You should check out CHAT COMM {CHAT}. It's comparable to FTEL, has more revenue, fewer shares, loses less money per share than FTEL, and is priced around $.81. It also offers better products then FTEL. Then check out DGIV. Same story as FTEL . DGIV is about $.81. Why do you think FTEL should be priced more than their competitors?" (Quote edited for clarity)

I don't know a thing about CHAT or DGIV, yet. But I'll look into them. I'm swamped at work, so give me a few days - maybe a week - to see what I can find out. Penny stocks usually are tougher to get info on as quickly.

Without knowing a thing about CHAT or DGIV, my question is why are they priced so low? Most folks on the FTEL board are involved in FTEL not because of misplaced family loyatly but because they believe FTEL's potential for future earnings is high. IF they're right and FTEL can deliver the goods, they'll make money. If FTEL and CHAT are similar enough in potential, they could buy 50,000 shares of CHAT instead of just 10,000 shares of FTEL and make even more money.

What your message tells me is that:

1) You've researched CHAT and DGIV
2) You've found that their products seem superior to FTEL's
3) Their earnings per share are higher than FTEL's

And - this assumption is implicit - I'm assuming you've told me the whole story - no hidden skeltons in the closet that would explain the lower price. I'll be the last one to defend the market as a rational mechanism, but it's rare to find companies with similar potential have such a wide spread in stock price. If you know something on the downside, I'd like to hear about it first from you rather than having to find out an "Oh, by the way..." on my own.

If your story checks out, I'll owe you my thanks for a good lead.

By the way, are you going to make a serious forecast at FTEL's 2 Feb 98 price, or not? I look forward to your entry.
