Hi Jorge:
I was thinking of you today at the close at about 4:10 pm and CPQ hadn't sold off and the momentum guys are still holding over the week-end... remembering what you said about all the preconditions and wondering if you had bought yet... Heh Heh.. Steve saying CPQ going to 70 by Jan 31st etc. I guess you could buy here and sell if it doesn't hold up.. I don't know what it means when a stock keeps going up on weak volumn... but to me .. it suggested that only a few traders were back at work, having stayed out over the holidays, so it will be revealing when Monday rolls around and back to normal volumn what the story will be.... There is so much positive sentiment about CPQ making good earnings report Jan 22nd that at least until then, we may see CPQ making up for lost time... We'll see... right?
Regards,
Ken Miller

I stand by my prediction in post 12539!!!! CPQ had a great day, will have a great week and move to the mid to high 60's next week. This is only the beginning. This will be an incredible ride until earnings and the split!!!! Congratulations to all who stuck with it and didn't jump off the CPQ ship. I myself added to my postion all the way down from 70 and I am sure glad I did! You will be greatly rewarded by a truly top notch company and stock. The big boys are going to ride CPQ after it splits to new highs in 1998!!!!!! Good luck to all and have a GREAT CPQ PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!!!

jorge, we have run up for a while..
maybe after earnings a channel for a while.
by april this asia stuff is over.
yes, those who invest on emotions just try to scare real investors out of a great investment.
that's why i challenge them for facts each time....
but, it boils down to they have no facts and it's their opinion that cpq is crashing
now, I buy that..if they want to post "i feel " compaq is going to crash..that's fair and legal.
But, instead , the let on like they are an expert and have real inside info. that cpq is crashing.
when their post reveal, they aren't experts and know zippo about Info. Technology and zero about the industry. In fact many of them didnt know anything about cpq until recently.
they scared allot of people out of cpq in 93,94,95,96,97and were wrong.
now it's 1998 and dif. bunch is trying the same thing..
of course it's not the same people since each time they go broke
Good luck..
we'll have consolidation days but trend is up

Jorge

What do you see missing that you haven't
bought yet ? Volume or some other factor ?
What price do you think is a good entry point
now ?
