Laszlo Birinyi just picked AAPL as his top stock pick of the year. This is after noting the three point rise today. Said smart money was buying. Guess he was referring to us. :)

Phillip: Thats my gut feeling too. It just makes sense. I haven't used DOS since 1995 but didn't IBM try to offer a superior operating system (beyond DOS) that didn't take ? Could they be interested in AAPL for its software skills too ? Maybe IBM is attracted to Rhapsody ? Now lets talk price ? Recall that recently AAPL traded in the upper $29ish area. So whats AAPL worth in a takeover ? If Jobs goes with AAPL why couldn't Apple remain independent with Big Blue ? IBM doesn't have to buy with $cash, theyc ould use their stock instead ? Did the Prince buy those 2mill shares a few weeks ago ? If so, would that data show up at EDGAR ? .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... ....
