Laszlo Birinyi just picked AAPL as his top stock pick of the year.

This is *after* noting the three point rise today.

Said smart money was buying.

Guess he was referring to us.

:)

Phillip: Thats my gut feeling too. It just makes sense. I haven't used DOS since 1995 but didn't IBM try to offer a superior operating system (beyond DOS) that didn't take ? Could they be interested in AAPL for its software skills too ? Maybe IBM is attracted to Rhapsody ?

Now lets talk price ? Recall that recently AAPL traded in the upper $29ish area. So whats AAPL worth in a takeover ? If Jobs goes with AAPL why couldn't Apple remain independent with Big Blue ?

IBM doesn't have to buy with $cash, theyc ould use their stock instead ?

Did the Prince buy those 2mill shares a few weeks ago ? If so, would that data show up at EDGAR ?
