I've always wanted to ask this question, and and lo and behold, I stumbled across this cozy little forum. What better place to pose it?

Most people use the expression "I could care less if so and so does such and such."

Should it not be "I couldn't care less if so and so does such and such?" After all, I you could care less, by default it means you do care some, no?

Perhaps a definitive answer will allow me to sleep again.

What say you, Mr. B, et al?

OFF TOPIC

I know the variations on the keyboard for various stuff...however I have to unchain Junior to get the word on how it's used on a Mac.

ALT (whatever) works okeefine on a PC clone....On a Mac there is some other combo.
