This is why I left and said I won't post till after the elections. Sorry to be blunt, but I realized too many people here are stuck in decades long gone. The real America isn't scared of a socialist boogeyman. Have you not noticed that Trump ran on a fairly socialist platform? Why don't you watch a few TV shows catering to people under 35 and see how anti-capitalistic they are. It is inevitable that America will become a far more socialist country than it is today. Already it is a lot more socialistic than it was when you were young. But the technology and demographic trends make it inevitable that America will be at least as socialistic as Europe is now (i.e. more than Canada today).
