That's is all wrong. Wealthy Americans and wealthy foreigners will be buying asset-back debt and ownership of America's infrastructure. This provides a huge new investment for Saudi Arabia to be able to diversify away from oil.

US government debt will continue to be scarce, but it may no longer trade at negative interest rates.

The wild card is whether the Republican leadership can convince Trump to terminate Social Security and Medicare benefits for the elderly as Mike Pence and Paul Ryan have long wanted to do, our government debt will be quickly paid off with the proceeds of the Social Security and Medicare tax which will no longer be needed to provide benefits for seniors.

This would violate Trump's campaign promise to elderly Americans to maintain these two entitlement programs, but he's proved he can change his opinions quickly.
