Of course Reagan was able to work with Democrats like Tip O'Neil.

The problem is whether Trump will be able to work with more than 50% of Republicans.

Half of the Republican Party is dead-set against him, so Trump will be working with a coalition of Democrats and the portion of the Republican Party which supports him.
