Trudeau, Wynne and Notley have said they will stay the course on carbon taxes and the shift to a fossil free economy. 3 more years is a lot of economic pain and suffering before the next elections.

Wherever did you get that idea? Trudeau has always supported Keystone. He was disappointed when Obama cancelled it..

There is significant political support for export of Canadian oil.
