Hi Bill:

Just to clarify....were you adding 300 to a 700 share position and then selling the whole position later in the day ? I guess I don't understand what the buy has to do with the sell. I've had trades in up to 5-6 pieces but they are always 29.95 for 1000 as long as the trade is completed in a single day. I complained the one time I was charged a second comm when it took two days to complete but no refund. I had another one yesterday trying to sell 2000 on a uptick just before the bell and only unloading 700. If the remainder sells Monday, it will cost 68.95 rather than 59.90 so naturally I jacked my limit up an eighth. Never have been able to understand why there should be different prices for the same trade depending on how it is executed.
You're right, Bill...its time to look elsewhere....but where ?

good luck,
John
