Another possibility for investing in MU or WFR is to expect that it is close to its bottom range and simply start to average down or up. Thats for us non-technicians. If it does work out, MU should double in a few years and everybody wins.

Re:and since a breakout above 28 will indicate to me a paucity of sellers and an abundance of buyers, all of which know much better than I the details of the timing of the general scenario I am assuming to be operative for MU.

Zeev,

This is where you and I differ. I make no assumptions that the so-called "smart-money" on WS is so smart after all. There are many MM's waiting to buy in simply for the same reason you are discussing, that the price has broken through a resistance level. IMHO, you give the Big Boys too much credit in terms of knowledge of a company or industry. Remember what most MM's were saying in the summer of '96 witht the equipment cos. and look at the preceding twelve months. Follow them at your own peril!

Regards,

Brian

"I think that MU is emerging
from this battle as a survivor, the lowest cost producer andd having the largest
market share, this is a very strong fundamental reason why one should get interested
again in MU."

Zeev,

Not to nit pick, but how do you figure that MU will have the largest DRAM market share? Is is conceiveable that MU will outpace Samsung and the others in DRAM production? I doubt it....
