That is a very general statement and could apply to almost anything.<<< Maybe it could be applied to a lot of situations but I applied it to the history of the Democratic party. Decades ago, I remember very specifically hearing liberals say, "all we ask is that you have an open mind," when challenging the corrupt establishment. Now I hear them demanding no challenges be made to the messages of the Democratic message, and allegiance to the obviously corrupt Establishment. I remember a media that held reverence for none and skepticism for all in power, now they are subservient to the Democratic Plutocracy. When the authorities threatened liberals, I heard "peace, love, and hope brothers and sisters." All has been replaced by a willingness to march in lock step conformity. From your posting history, it seems you are old enough to remember this and to observe the truth in what I am saying. I am suggesting that you (Democrat masses) return to a gentler and kinder discourse. Reacting hysterically to everything right wing leaves moderate conservatives (remember the never Trumpers) with no where to turn. It leaves down to earth people (like farmers and blue collar workers who used to be mostly Dems) out in the cold. Start communicating with the masses more and reacting to extreme right wingers less. Start paving a road people feel good about traveling on. What is it you don't get about that. I thought it was good advice. Maybe you will get it when you get over the results of the recent election. The current right wing extremist euphoria is kind of scary to me, but it is not as bad as the defense of the indefensible and blind allegiance to a corrupt establishment I saw coming from the left. I am glad to be registered as unaffiliated in times like this. =======================================================================>>>Before this election, most people saw that we are operating more or less as a plutocratic oligarchy. And everybody is concerned about that.<<< I remember a time when the majority of Democrats approached life with open minds and were willing to discuss issues openly without hostility toward people with alternative views. Before the social revolution they were friendly gentle people on the whole. It was very attractive to hang with people proclaiming peace, love, and hope in the face of a corrupt establishment. That era disappeared long ago and was replaced by extremists who will take your head off if you step out of line or question any issue and have become the very embodiment of a corrupt establishment... the good ole boy system was replaced by the bad new girl system. You want them back ... unlock the chains and return to an open and inviting coalescence.
