Watched a segment on CNN pertaining to DVD / PC........................ Talked of DVD going to be huge in coming decade. Showed DVD equiped pcs. I tend to agree with Bob & others. I cant see watching a DVD movie on a pc screen.Even with advanced speaker systems & larger terminals , one one think that surround sound & far larger screens would be a much better venue. With the hot nc's & much lower priced pcs ,if a person was to shell out the money for the much higher priced DVD equiped pc , it would also be someone who will go with a new HDTV & assorted amenities. This applies to the movie segment of the pc , I am sure the information on the furture DVD made for other pc use will be exceptional. They also mentioned DIVX which will be out in 1998 as another segment in this new growth arena of media technology. What fun this year should be or at least interesting & exciting.

Dear Bob, Iwould like to agree but seriously cant. Zenith has most of its product made in Mexico. The reason why we do not make many of the electronics is because of labor costs. The Asian situation only increases the acceleration of this condition. I truly wish this was not true but the executives of our US companies only look at the bottom line. In the past six years their salaries and bonus has increased in at an unbelievable rate! To them deep down thats is the only real thing that counts. Otherwise you would see more companies would be paying cash dividends to the shareholders who carry the real risk.
