Oh you're so negative. Are you sure you're not a conservative? Or are you just jealous? :-)

Our state went 61% for Hillary (32 Trumpy)- so while we're not perfect, we're certainly better than most places.

I've wanted California to separate from the US since I was in college. Now there's finally a decent movement. Do I expect it to happen? No. But I didn't expect Trumpy to win either- so maybe, just maybe, this is a time of surprising things. I would like to be surprised by this.

As for water- we could solve that. We've got ocean and we've got scientists- desalinization, here we come.

And Ronnie was a mistake- but to be fair, Cali was more conservative then.

per the Constitution I don't even think it's legal, even if Californians voted for it, so are they going to go to war with the U.S. to force it?

regardless if it's even legal, it makes no sense on so many levels. The 55 CA delegates that always go to POTUS elections would be lost. That would further ensure the U.S. remains under right wing control which is bad for everyone. The economic impacts to CA would also be self-destructive. But I guess some folks would vote for it just out of spite.

meanwhile there's still one senate spot still up for vote. Early voting starts today in LA. Instead of all the money being raised for a recount that won't happen, where has any focus and money been raised for the Dem from Louisiana. Yeah, it's a long shot but sure beats trying to secede or throwing money at a recount that has zero chance of overturning anything... that one extra senate spot would be huge, but yeah, it's a long shot
