GZ - In reality we already have what you suggest. "We now have more than 90 million concealed carry permits across the country," What we need is for more Americans to get their concealed carry license and then actually carry. The NRA and others offer continuous training. We have this NOW. More need to join that group that carry. You do not know how many around you are carrying. I know it is not near enough. If a bad man threatens a life there should be a good man on the spot with a gun to stop him.

*...After all, the French had resistance fighters during the WW II nazi occupation of their country...* The French surrendered after two weeks of German invasion. The resistance fighters were a joke...they were the ones who were unable to flee the country before their ignominious abject surrender to Germany. Mostly fat drunken toads who planted trees along the Champs-Élysées because the Germans don't like to march in the sun.
