I've always liked Plato. Plato recognized that one of the key ingredients to a good life is knowing how to have a conversation. (Book four of his Ethics). Should be required reading for these threads.

I was fascinated by his treatment of ideas, in particular the idea of "Forms." His treatment of Forms is similar to the idea of Absolutes. I find most leftists rejecting the idea of "Absolutes" but embrace Plato's idea of "Forms." What do you say?

The 'Apology of Socrates' was a jewel in his crown.
