Absolutely! But there is a problem with beauty. It was pointed by the Lufthansa CEO to Brazilians once when he was talking about tourism.

He said: Beauty does not sell. Service sells. I tried several times in discussions with educated Brazilians to tell what the Lufthansa CEO wanted to convey. They refused to understand.

But there is another problem with islands. You need to pay toll gate to enter. They let you in saying yes to everything. Until you are settled. Then problems start.

There is a mobile operator called Digicel that operates in islands in several parts of the world. They are in trouble now.

Digicel, when the going was good, entered many island markets. Once they were in the problems started. You could not pull back. This created lots of inefficiencies. Those inefficiencies are corrected as any operator goes along. But not in islands.
You try something, the powers that be come after you and revoke the work permits of the officials and the company has to do what they say. That was possible when the going was good. The going is no longer good.

Elmat, a master on the art of the long view, predicted early 2008, that this business one day would hit the wall. That one day that I predicted is today for Digicel.

Now my prediction is that Digicel will be acquired by a major US cable company.
