There is a huge difference between the two parties. Huge, huge, huge.

The Democrats have been on the right side of almost every major issue of the last century. Try and think of one where we dems were wrong and the pubs were right!

Only the Democratic party has both the power and progressive agenda we need.

The Republican party is a party of fools, criminals and crazy people.

None, NONE of the Republican nominees could get to first base in the Democratic party. They were all too crazy.

(the Conservatives have indeed become more rightasized LOL) but we can EASILY fit our three main parties Conservative, Liberal (Current Power) and NDP (Lefties like Bernie) into your Democratic party.... see the problem you have ? For MOST Canadians your GOP are Aliens from another dimension... fringe at best... yet a major party in the US... so opting Dem as a safeguard is meaningless... Just look at foreign policy !! To the world there IS NO DIFFERENCE..
