OK, we covered that one Insider sold in June and another sold in Sept. I don't think that this is very significant but it is up to everyone to make thier own decision. What do you think about the huge buying by Institutions and Mutual Funds ?

Christopher obviously you and I disagree about the insider selling all of his tremendous amount of 20,000 shares and that another sold 1/3 of his for a combined whopping total of 53,000 shares in the last 6 months but NONE IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS.

We obviously disagree on the importance of new additional institutional buying. I'm one of the investors that feel that although they aren't always right, they are right a lot more times than me.
I find the fact that during the same time the small amount of ownership shares that were sold there were an increase of institutional shares of 416,000 for a combined total of 1,952,000 shares. An increase of 21.3% with completely new positions established by Robertson Stevens LP and Shott Capital Management.

Now a look at the mutual funds ( I won't insult your intelligence I know you have access to the information ), I show a significant increase there also. An increase of 201,000 shares increasing the total to 1,132,000 shares or an increase of 17.8%.

For my investment decision, I would without a doubt take the bottom increases over 53,000 shares by 2 individuals.

Cary

In addition to the Institutions there were mutual fund increases of

In the past week or so, it seems the activity level on this thread has picked up significantly after a major lull. Without trying to stop the backslapping completely, the following should be noted about two recent stocks discussed here:

1. Anyone contemplating playing FIBR must read the Barron's cover story from last August, which was an expose of the company. This may have been brought up here, but I have not seen anyone do so. The article will give anyone pause and may convince you to keep your wallet in your pocket before you follow someone's advice to "buy more for the long-term." There's a reason (several, actually) why the stock dropped from $11 to $2 last year.

2. The recent mention of ADVT is chilling and should not occur in any forum in which investing--or even smart trading--is the goal. In November, the stock reverse split 1:12, then proceeded to drop from $1.50 to 9 cents in the next month. The company's press releases are ludicrous. This is the kind of stock that's not even safe to daytrade; you can step away from the screen for five minutes, only to come back and find it blank. But hey...as a poster here noted, it's up 400% in a few days!

And so it goes.
