I think there is quite an asymmetry on that. Far more liberals will acknowledge it if Trump does well, then Conservative did for Obama. Obama actually did quite well for the Country and the economy, something yet most Conservatives are sure the Country went down the tubes under Obama. The reason for the asymmetry is simple: Conservatives live largely in a world of delusion, while Liberals don't. Liberals generally embrace science and reality, Conservatives generally deny science and embrace religion.

I'm only opposed to Trump because he's a mentally ill billionaire assclown who's likely to fail at governance. I'd have been against him as a Democrat.
