This depends on your investment style. If you buy and hold for long term, dollar cost averaging is OK. An alternative is discussed in Tom Veale's thread:

In general, the movement of Select Funds is closely related to short term realtive strength (less than 3 weeks). Also, you can calculate relative strength in different ways to arrive at essentially the same top ranked funds. In other words the top performing Select Funds strongly depend on relative strength, but not very sensitive to the definition of relative strength!
