Bob,
>>wasn't Wessels/Arnold the brokerage house who is hyping AVNT<<
I believe you are correct. I am going to try and check this out tomorrow.>>>
Wessels, Arnold is hyping AVNT. W/A is handling the buy out of TMAI that AVNT is buying for stock in January. W/A is to receive a TWO MILLION DOLLAR fee for the merger deal. The deal is in jeopardy because the price of AVNT is declining and the vote is 1/15/98 so they will hype AVNT to save the investment banking fee of two mil. In the S4 merger filing W/A did not assess the current court cases for its impact on the merger or price of the stocks. The value of TMAI is in serious trouble since the merger agreement. W/A has issued public statements saying the court cases will not have any impact on the merger when in fact they state in the S4 that they haven't considered or investigated them, a violation of SEC rules. AVNT and the merger is in trouble and the value of TMAI is grossly overstated. The merger if completed will dilute the value of AVNT with the issue of additional stock. TMAI is only worth about 1/2 of what AVNT is paying. AVNT will be worthless.
Also, Wessels Arnold is the lead volume market maker for AVNT in block trades and all other trades.
You can draw your own conclusions about Wessels Arnold.
