We have discussed it before: There will never be enough jobs for everyone. Maybe in the next 50 years we go back to single-earner households. But eventually, a new model for redistribution will have to be created. When you can 3d print houses at the rate of 10 a day, you're not going to need as many people working.

But we can't move forward with the model of redistribution we are now using. It has to be scrapped and redesigned from the ground up. You can redistribute without creating a society of freeloaders, which is what Koan wants to do.

Starting with the Friedman approach of a negative income tax (fundamentally similar to the EITC, although it has to be more robust).

There are ways to work things out but we cannot have the kind of intransigence Obama dumped on the country for the last eight years.
