We have a representative democracy and that is important and we should protect it.

This freedom crap gets old. It is not real. People who voice it have no idea what they are talking about.

I think you make a good point. It reminds me of unions. I have had occasion to engage with unions from various angles. In a union arrangement, the union is a third party. It represents the workers but it also has a life of its own with its own agenda and mechanisms. Same thing as the government.

I posted that you and not to koan because he probably wouldn't appreciate the analogy.
