FWIW, I think GM should either have tarriffs levied on them or perhaps even better just limit these cars to only being sold in Mexico, rest of South America, and so on. The idea that US taxpayers bailed out GM rankles me. So our bailed out US company gives good skilled jobs to Mexico and we citizens are expected to accept the continued flow of the poor and ignorant lower class Mexican in return? How Democrats remain complacent to things like this is beyond me. It also rankles me that Trump haters like Politico parrot the 35% tarriff meme all the time. The reality is that much lower tarriffs would likely be quite effective in most cases.
