Yes there is a higher premium for late enrollees .

How did your premium triple for medicare in one year? You also said you had copays. Medicare itself has no co pays, it has co insurance 80/20. If you have a medicare advantage plan then you have co pays. I don't see how you could have a total premium of $600.00 for a Medicare advantage plan and still have any co pays.
