Alexa, I guess your only chance at reasonably winning this argument is to change it into something it is not.

I thought we were talking about banning smoking from Restaurants and Bars, not buildings.

That is an entirely different area. One which reasonable people have voted on and accept.

Asumming that a public building is the same as a private Restaurant or bar is at the heart of this debate, and something which you seem to want to ignore.

By forcing, without a vote, your will to ban smoking from bars and Restaurants you have opened up pandora's box.

What is the difference between a bar privately owned and a home??

This is the circular route the non-smoking zealots will take. All the arguments you have made can be about somebodies own home. Just have a dinner party. And children aren't even allowed in bars.

Mark my words the next assault against our freedoms (without a vote) will be our homes, and smoking will be involved.
