The problem with 'intelligence' services is confirmation bias, group think, fear of opposing the official ideas, stupidity, Stockholm Syndrome. It's fascinating to watch the process [for decades now]. It happens in Big Oil [my direct experience] and in any groups I can think of right now. Maybe Skeptics United aren't so subject to it, but even there I suspect it's pandemic.

Most people [maybe 95%] seem to have such a powerful need to belong, have identity, hide in the herd etc that they'd rather be wrong than be outside the group. Hence CO2 mania has been running for decades in the Loony Liberal Left. On the Rabid Republican Right side, there is a similar groupthink going on regarding CO2.

It was only in recent decades that I realized believing in CO2 or not was not a scientific and economic issue but a political one. Amusing.

Meanwhile, on RT right now, NATO is gearing up for World War III, possibly even before Obama is finished. He would love to go out with a Big Bang. He apparently doesn't know about Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Charge of the Light Brigade, Barbarossa. It's totally MAD but that's what NATO are doing.

Nobody is going to be worried about CO2 when Dr Strangelove and Obama's Harpies go berserk.

I'd back Trump's "intelligence" against the official "intelligence" services.

The idea that Russia is a threat to Europe is absurd. A poor country of only 150 million versus hundreds of millions in Europe and another 300 million in USA with vastly more economic and military power. Russia does have the MAD option in retaliation. Hopefully the megalomaniac MADmen and women of the USA/Euroserfs don't totally lose their minds.
