I don't think too many people believed Al Gore on that one, but Kristol is well acknowledged for his insight on Think Tank research, and its an agenda that has been well adopted by those organizations. Read some articles on him.

And not just that, if he ever lied about something than that just proves that libertarians are liars and you shouldn't believe anything they say...

Liberals lie, conservatives lie, libertarians lie, people lie. More often than that they are biased or make mistakes and so come to incorrect conclusions.

The argument from neolib seems to be that "libertarians" (in quotes because a number of those that he claims are libertarians aren't libertarians), were wrong about X, Y and/or Z, and posted data about it. That since they were wrong they were lying. That since they were lying, their data was lies, and libertarians in general are liars. That considering those last two things you should not only take data from libertarians with a grain of salt, but should discount it completely.
