Tech: In its latest filing w/ the SEC, the co. dropped the "routine" label in describing the review. They also indicate that the NASD did ask further questions verbally following CSGI's written response. The NASD has not contacted the co. in the last 8 mths., however.

Investigation or Review? Jump ball!

While tech is playing verbal gymnastics with "investigation" and "review", let's look at the American Heritage Dictionary to see if there is ANY difference in the meanings.

investigation: n. The act, process or instance of investigating; inquiry.

investigate: v. To observe or inquire into detail; examine systematically.

review: v. 1. To look over, study, or examine again. 3. To examine with an eye to criticism or correction. --n. 1. A re-examination. 4. An inspection or examination for the pupose of evaluating something.

Conclusion:
I suppose I am guilty of using two words interchangably that mean the same the thing. Since the use of synonyms is over tech's head, I will try and refrain from doing so in the future. However, using investigation and review interchangably is in no way "POSTING FALSE INFORMATION", as tech so hypingly put it. If anything, he merely prooved his own ignorance of the English language.

Let's all pitch in to get tech a Thesaurus as a late Christmas gift!

--CORRECTION--

In the interest of equality and fair play I felt it nessecary to post the following corrections.

tech: <<Under what authority do you have it that the review done over a year ago...>>

The investigation is not "done". It's still open.
--

tech: <<Did you call NASDAQ ?>>

Sorry tech, NASDAQ isn't handling the investigation, NASD is. I believe your inexperience is showing.
--

btw, NASD will not give out any information on the details of the investigation, even status. The gentleman I spoke with even used the word investigation three times, after I said review...so it seems that the regulating body itself uses the words interchangably.

NASD # is 301-212-8100.
Any representative will be happy to help you.
