Exactly --- Notice the line about CPQ and AMD alliance --- takeover? If CPQ were to buy into AMD the way IBM once did with Intel, THAT would shake things up wouldn't it! This just convinces me that Intel has lost pricing power to the box manufacturers. Since pricing power is the basis of their business model they are going to have to up the price/performance curve with higher performance at lower prices. I think their dumbed down PII is potentially a fatal mistake. They should be going for a low priced PII 300MHz and Slot II high end. ============================================= Looking for a good shorting opportunity today.
