I am only talking about the concept. But which concept? The subject of our discussion, which I introduced, was government as employer of last resort. You have not offered a single comment on such a program. How would you see it working? What do you think it might cost? How might it be funded? What benefits do you see? What externalities do you see? How do you see it flying politically? Why do you support it? What are the alternatives. If you want to change the subject, please say so directly so I can either address it or demur. If you want to stay on topic, then stay on topic. I could write a plan and the dems would be OK with it I think. But the pubs would never OK it. Because they represent the rich who don't want to help anyone and instead want it all for themselves.. Are you talking about an EMS program or a ELR program? If the latter, you could start sketching it out by answering some of my questions above. I have some background in program development, too. I'm qualified to critique your proposal.
