The subject of our discussion, which I introduced, was government as employer of last resort. You have not offered a single comment on such a program. How would you see it working? What do you think it might cost? How might it be funded? What benefits do you see? What externalities do you see? How do you see it flying politically? Why do you support it? What are the alternatives.
