Clearly, it's in the interests of Conservatives to keep the Electoral College. This is a Republic, not a Democracy, according to them. To me that means that people who choose to live in the country and suburbs should determine fiscal/foreign policy. Everyone knows the major urban centers are basically left wing. The goal of the electoral college is to minimize the liberal impact on a National level. And what has the DNC or even other prominent democrats done to address the issue? It seems they are satisfied with the status quo. Now CA wants to secede and honestly I don't blame them in a way. If CA succeeds, it will set off a chain of States in the Northeast that will follow suit.

Another thing that bugs the hell out of me, is that the Left wing is accused of wanting to steal from the Rich and give that money to the poor. But what do you call these supply side tax cuts and social spending cuts from Reagan to Bush and now Trump? That's stealing from services that poor and middle income depend on and giving it primarily to the top 1%. But that kind of thievery is considered moral and OK.

All good and fine until you're on the other end of the stick.

Hawaii has pretty extreme voter registration(just getting picture ID is a challenge). I'd opt for a cleaner voter registration system and incentives to actually get people to vote(like a $50 tax credit).

Electronic voting is more subject to fraud than paper ballots. It's federal election....why not have federal standards?

Neither trump no Hillary had anything close to a majority of eligible voters so dissing the EC is pretty meaningless.
