<..I'm worried about what the competition are doing...>

This is always the concern.

<..While Westel has been sorting out its management their competitors are getting on with making DSL happen...>

The telco delays don't help any either as it gives time for companies like CSCO, ASND and Netspeed (that Trey refers to as vaporware) to get a product out. PAIR will ALSO have their awaited Falcon DMT product out ("in time to meet the market").

My concern is this - if things are so rosy for Westell going forward, why would the COB take an undefined leave of absence and the CEO leave?

<..Unless Westell have a plan to halve prices every year they will get blasted by the networking/ISP equipment companies...>

Netspeed expects to have $199 products. As has been discussed, this is a LARGE market that will be dominated by large players who can live on thin margins. As has been postulated, expect M&A to narrow the field. What would a short list of potential WSTL suitors look like - and at what price range?

Regards-

Steve
