High-Definition games and video eat up space at an insane rate, but if a person waits till a large drive is beginning to fail, they may not have enough time to transfer everything while the drive is usable.

That article bothered me about SSD data retention.

I've thought about storing drive images on thumb-drives, but now question how reliable that would be.

These big 12GB HDs are reaching insanity levels. Data has always filled the available drive space


30 years ago, I worked for a SW company with over 1000 programmers. Today, my 1 person company has more disk storage than that entire company in 1985.
